The ‘Rattlers Riders Group’ is a bunch of like-minded motorcycle enthusiasts who build, customize and ride bikes of a bobber style. Based in Auckland New Zealand we have organized rides, meetings, annual get-togethers and attend other related events such as Hotrod shows etc.
We allow any make of bike into the group with a 250cc rating upwards providing it fits the bobber style. Café racers, Choppers and Brat style bikes are not what we are about, however we do allow them to feature on the Rattlers Forum.
Rattlers bikes are required to include a reasonable amount of home built and scavenged parts and we prefer paintjobs done with rattle cans.
We wear checked shirts, work jackets, open face helmets and sneakers as our riding attire and promote a relaxed, fun and non-intimidating biker existence.
The Rattlers website and forum has been set-up as a place for Bobber and Chopper folk to network. It’s a place to swap, buy and sell parts and an ever- increasing pool of knowledge. Forum members can post photos and comments about a project they have underway, follow other peoples builds while sharing and seeking advice.
Does signing up to the forum make you a Rattlers member?
No, it makes you a forum member.
Can you become a member of the Rattlers Riders Group?
Yes, but this is an invite only group.
How do I get invited?
Well firstly you would need to live in Auckland, New Zealand and have a going bobber of a road worthy standard. You would need to keep an eye on the ‘Meets and Rides’ thread on the forum and attend some of our casual rides and events, making yourself known to us. If your bike and personality stack up and the group invites you to become an Associate, you will commence a one-year probation period. A successful Associate will then be officially inducted as a Rattler Riders Group Member.
